About The Position

TOTEME is a fashion house rooted in Swedish sensibilities, modern aspirations, and the notion of style. With an appreciation for how pieces are worn in practice, we create emblematic designs with an emphasis on materiality and shape. Archetype pieces are realized in authentic materials, rich textures and graphic silhouettes. Representing a direct and decisive way of dressing, the collections are contextualized in curated edits, visuals, and spaces. TOTEME was founded in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman. From the atelier in Stockholm, we create women’s and men’s collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry. The Role TOTEME is looking for a PR Assistant to join our team in New York City full-time. In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support across our PR activities in North America, including press requests, product placements, seeding, events and reporting. You will report to the Global PR Director and work directly with the PR team and relevant internal and external partners.

Requirements

This is a entry level role, previous professional experience is not required.
Internships, studies or other exposure to PR, communications, fashion or a related field are beneficial.
An interest in fashion, PR, media and the North American fashion and cultural landscape.
Comfortable working with administrative tasks, databases, spreadsheets and coordination.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work according to established processes and timelines.
Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update press, VIP, influencer, stylist and industry contact databases.
Support product placements and seeding by coordinating and tracking product requests, shipments, returns and follow-ups.
Coordinate with the PR team, external VIP agency and internal teams regarding product availability and movements.
Support local PR activities including store openings, events, press days and other brand activations.
Prepare and maintain guest lists, invitations and attendance information for events and press activities.
Track press coverage and support the preparation of regular PR reports and updates.
Support store pulls, sample handling and day-to-day product coordination.
Take meeting notes, follow up on agreed actions and provide general administrative support to the PR team.
Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy.
