About The Position

This position involves assisting journeymen in construction and demolition processes, preparing construction sites, controlling traffic near work zones, and potentially operating a water truck. Regular attendance and willingness to travel with personal transportation are required. The role may involve exposure to machines and chemicals in a typically high-noise environment.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience within the construction industry.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, they will be exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.

Responsibilities

• Signals operators on machinery.
• Help the journeymen with any job duties involved in the construction and demolition process.
• Cleaning and preparing construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Controlling traffic passing near work zones.
• May Run the Water Truck
• Perform any other duties related to the job site
• Regular attendance required.
• Willing to travel and must be able to supply their own transportation.
