About The Position

This position is full-time, third shift, and will primarily be focused for our Central Utility Plant. The role involves operating, repairing, documenting, and performing preventive maintenance on the powerhouse electro/mechanical systems within the facility. Responsibilities include operating stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam boilers, generators, steam turbines, air conditioners, distillers, water softeners, and other auxiliary equipment to provide utility services. The technician will observe meters and gauges to monitor equipment operating conditions and regulate water flow, fuel, steam pressure, and oxygen according to needs and safety standards. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Requires general knowledge of stationary engines, electrical and mechanical equipment.
Requires current knowledge of various federal; state; local; OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
Requires the ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

Power Engineering Certification is preferred.
