About The Position
Maintain and repair extrusion machines, checking quality of the product. Monitor ammeter, temperature, air and water for variations. Maintain log of parts usage and preventive maintenance. Must have basic math skills for metric conversion. Use of basic hand tools, grinder, vice, parts cleaner and drill or drill press are needed as well.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (GED minimum)
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push up to 1500 lbs
- Must pass a Mechanic's test administered on line
- Basic math skills for metric conversion
- Use of basic hand tools, grinder, vice, parts cleaner and drill or drill press
Responsibilities
- Build die sets for extrusion
- Monitor machine conditions
- Maintain a neat and clean work area
- Check quality of product
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Perform other related work required by manager
