Requirements

  • Prior PIV experience (turret stock picker preferred)
  • Prior experience in making electronic inventory transactions with movement of product (maintain inventory accuracy).
  • Knowledge of warehouse management software (Oracle preferred).
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes that support a manufacturing operation.
  • High school or equivalent
  • 2 years of PIV experience (turret stock picker preferred)
  • Basic use of computer.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate PIVs (forklifts, stock pickers, turret stock pickers, etc) safely within a warehousing and manufacturing environment.
  • Load and unload materials within warehouse racking, trailers, and ocean containers without causing damage to the product or equipment.
  • Responsible for completing the daily PIV operator safety checksheet and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Responsible for charging the PIVs during breaks, lunches, and at end-of-shift.
  • Successfully complete PIV certification training classes.
  • Safely operate PIVs both inside and outside of the facility.
  • Complete PIV operator daily check sheets.
  • Carefully operate PIVs to prevent damage to product or equipment.
  • Some PIVs (stock pickers and turret stock pickers) raise the operator above the ground level (up to 25 feet) so must be comfortable with heights.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
