About The Position

Capital City McD, Inc., a family-owned McDonald’s franchisee operating 16 restaurants throughout Springfield, Jacksonville, Beardstown, Mt. Sterling, and Havana, is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe, comfortable, and operational restaurant facilities across our organization. Requirements

  • Previous HVAC service, repair, installation, or maintenance experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service requests and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between restaurant locations.
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance work, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Flexible availability, as occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA certification and/or applicable HVAC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems across all 16 restaurant locations.
  • Diagnose heating, cooling, ventilation, and related equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of HVAC systems.
  • Inspect HVAC equipment and identify potential concerns before they become larger operational issues.
  • Assist with additional facility and maintenance needs as needed.
  • Travel regularly between restaurant locations to respond to service needs and complete scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs completed, and equipment serviced.
  • Communicate effectively with restaurant managers and organizational leadership regarding repair needs, equipment concerns, and recommended next steps.
  • Help prioritize urgent service needs while managing scheduled maintenance responsibilities.
