About The Position

Performs many of the hands-on aspects of the Town's boat-bottom power washing operation. This is a seasonal position that generally runs from October 1 through November 15. Shifts include weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings, and possible poor weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Capable of lifting heavy equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must possess the demonstrated ability to follow directions.
• Must possess the demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous power-washing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the power washing equipment, which includes the power washers, the wash mat, and the water recycling trailers.
• Power washes boat bottoms as the vessels are hauled from the water in a careful but thorough manner.
• Ensures the filtration system is clear of materials that might clog the equipment.
• Cleans up and puts away the equipment at the end of each day, and/or moves it to other locations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
• Reports for work on time.
• Reports all defective equipment and accidents to the supervisor/manager.
• Performs duties in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Wears personal safety protection equipment when directed and/or warranted.
