About The Position

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Power Technician 1 based in Toronto, ON. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades. You’ll be based out of our Toronto, ON service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair
• Journeyman HET (off-Road) or Journeyman Electrician
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment
• Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
• Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
