About The Position

HDR is seeking a Power Project Engineer to lead mechanical design for hydropower facilities from planning through construction. The role delivers equipment studies, condition assessments, calculations, specifications, and mechanical design packages for hydropower and related utility and water-resources projects. Work may involve turbines, generators, gates, valves, pumps, cranes, hoists, balance-of-plant systems, dams, and water-conveyance equipment. The engineer leads field investigations, equipment inspections, design workshops, and constructability reviews, and coordinates mechanical interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, controls, hydraulic, and water-resources disciplines.
