About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Power App Developer who can gather requirements, provide consulting, and manage the development process. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in MS Power Apps and Power Automate, work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and deliver high-quality solutions. This role involves translating user requirements into technical specifications, writing code, and preparing design specifications. Additionally, the candidate will support system design, provide advice on security requirements, and debug business systems and service applications. The developer will drive the overall software development lifecycle, including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, managing development teams and processes, and conducting software testing and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing applications using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Extensive experience in developing both Model-driven and Canvas apps using Power Apps.
  • Proficiency in customizing and configuring Power Apps to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in integrating Power Apps with various data sources, including SharePoint list.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint lists and their integration with Power Apps.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting applications.

Responsibilities

  • Translates user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user.
  • Analyzes, develops, tests, and implements new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components.
  • Ensures that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements.
  • Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.
  • Follows release management processes and standards, and applies version controls.
  • Assists in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
