About The Position

Object Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTSI) is hiring an onsite Power Platform Developer in Kansas City, Missouri. The developer will design and implement solutions to complex problems, creating hybrid machine-learning and rule-based Power Platform applications, automations, and data visualizations. The role helps transform how people, processes, and systems work together, from project discovery through solution implementation. The goal is to simplify business operations through applications that guide workflows, digitize information, and automate manual tasks to improve processing accuracy, speed, consistency, and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience and certifications.
At least four years of related experience is ideal; experienced software engineers or developers will be considered.
Inquisitive, comfortable with ambiguity, and self-motivated to identify improvement opportunities aligned with business objectives and strategic plans.
Strong attention to detail, debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to extract key themes and determine root causes.
Ability to assimilate disparate information, including structured and unstructured data, log files, and error messages.
Ability to work on basic-to-moderately complex programming assignments.
General understanding of APIs, command line, client-server architecture, networks, and (S)FTP.
Ability to participate constructively in work teams to facilitate and implement improvements to operations, maintenance, and business practices.
Ability to understand business process workflow diagrams or procedural documentation.
Effective communication with technical and non-technical colleagues and third parties.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work well under pressure individually and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, and Power BI, or other low-code/no-code platforms.
Programming or development experience with R, Python, Java, .NET, C#, Visual Basic, or similar technologies, preferably on automation or integration projects.
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar applications.
Background in machine-learning and artificial-intelligence concepts.

Responsibilities

Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform.
Develop reusable components, scripts, and frameworks to replicate manual administrative processes.
Partner with Business Analysts and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities by analyzing business problems, processes, and data.
Document technical designs, release notes, and project documentation supporting development, security, operations, and maintenance.
Create Power BI reports using DAX or M and multiple data sources with different permissions and structures.
Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and third parties during product development and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet design and business needs.
Deploy projects and resolve day-to-day support issues with timely responses and solutions.
Help develop Power Platform standards and best practices, including governance, operating models, and solutions.
Collect and interpret data, analyze results, and report findings to internal or external stakeholders.
Stay current with technology trends and best practices, experiment with new technologies, participate in communities of practice, and mentor other community members.
Estimate projects based on scope and level of effort, and communicate progress and completion in a timely manner.
Create Virtual Agents to assist users with smaller tasks or repeated tasks across a department.
Perform other work as assigned.
