About The Position

The Power Apps Developer / Power Platform Automation Specialist will design, develop, and maintain custom business applications and automations using Microsoft Power Platform and a small handful of other tools. This role requires hands-on experience building Power Apps, integrating with data sources such as SQL Server, Dataverse, and other databases, and automating workflows using Power Automate. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions. Bonus qualifications include experience with PowerShell, Python, and task scheduling tools like Windows Task Scheduler or cron.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than five years of applicable experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Strong knowledge of Dataverse, SQL Server, T-SQL scripting , and data modeling
  • Experience with Power Automate for building complex workflows and integrations
  • Familiarity with Common Data Service (CDS) and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Ability to write and debug Power Fx formulas and expressions
  • Understanding of security roles, permissions, and environment management in Power Platform
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
  • Experience with Python for data processing or integration tasks
  • Familiarity with Windows Task Scheduler or cron jobs for scheduled automation
  • Knowledge of Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or custom connectors
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-400) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps tailored to business needs
  • Build and maintain Power Automate flows to automate data retrieval, transformation, and population across systems
  • Integrate Power Apps with SQL Server, Dataverse, SharePoint, and other data sources
  • Create custom connectors and use APIs to extend Power Platform capabilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing Power Platform solutions
  • Document solutions, workflows, and architecture for maintainability
