About The Position
The Power Plant Operator will operate high pressure boilers and a variety of power plant equipment such as CHP, generators, fuel systems and air compressors. They will also perform preventative maintenance, maintain all operating logs, and assist during emergencies such as snow, fire, flood, and power loss.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
- Must possess a comprehensive understanding of power plant equipment and operations, normally required with 3-5 years of on-the-job experience.
- Must possess a current NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license.
Nice To Haves
- Valid and in good standing driver’s license issued by the state of New Jersey preferred due to the possibility of driving a facility vehicle to our various locations.
