About The Position
The Power Plant Mechanic is experienced in all phases of steam generation, maintenance of boilers, chillers, and auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring power plant equipment; reading and interpreting control circuits, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine proper operation. This individual tests, maintains, and repairs power plant equipment; monitors contractor's work to ensure quality and code compliance.
Requirements
- High School or Trade School equivalent
- 1 year related work experience in this area
- Refrig Recovery Cert Type II, or Universal certification required
- Driver's License- Valid, no points
- Backflow Prevention Device tester's license required in most facilities
Nice To Haves
- Refrig Recovery Cert Type III preferred
