About The Position

RAS Logistics is seeking experienced CDL Class A Owner Operators / Independent Contract Carriers to provide flatbed delivery services for a major home improvement retailer. This opportunity is ideal for professional motor carriers with flatbed experience who value safety, customer service, and dependable work. As an Independent Contract Carrier, you will provide professional transportation and delivery services for building and home improvement products. This is an independent contractor opportunity and is not an offer of employment. Independent Contract Carriers are responsible for operating their own business and meeting all applicable licensing, insurance, equipment, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Operate as a legal business entity
• Have or be able to obtain their own Interstate Motor Carrier Authority
• Maintain required USDOT and MC authority
• Provide required Certificates of Insurance, including applicable: Auto Liability, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Cargo, Workers' Compensation or Occupational Accident/Workers Injury coverage, as applicable
• Provide their own tractor/power unit
• Tandem-axle day cab preferred
• Have a qualified CDL Class A driver
• Meet applicable DOT and safety requirements
• Successfully complete required background and qualification processes
• Maintain strong customer service and communication standards

Nice To Haves

• Flatbed delivery experience
• Building materials or home improvement delivery experience
• Moffett / truck-mounted forklift experience
• Experience securing oversized, building-material, or construction-related freight
• Familiarity with customer and job-site deliveries

Responsibilities

• Transporting building and home improvement materials using flatbed equipment
• Completing scheduled deliveries to customer locations and job sites
• Properly securing freight in accordance with applicable DOT requirements
• Conducting required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintaining required transportation and delivery documentation
• Communicating professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers
• Providing safe, dependable, and customer-focused delivery service
• Operating a trailer-mounted forklift/Moffett when applicable
