About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with deep technical expertise in large scale diesel and natural gas generator systems (1.5 MW and above) to lead Power Generation Integration. This role is critical in managing the design, engineering, procurement, and execution of backup and primary power generation projects across industrial, commercial, and utility scale applications.

Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) including pre-employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT.)
Daily in-person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Systems Engineering required (Master’s preferred).
An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
7+ years of experience in power generation, with a focus on 2.5 MW+ diesel and natural gas generator systems.
Strong understanding of generator control systems, paralleling switchgear, and load sharing technologies.
Familiarity with Tier 4 Final emissions standards and natural gas fuel systems.
Strong leadership skills with a commitment to excellence demonstrated in work history.
Excellent speaking, writing, and listening skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast paced and high demand environment.
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems in Discrete Manufacturing; preferably with Made2Manage ERP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with emphasis on Excel as it is used heavily for data analysis and reporting.
Must be able to work under timeline constraints.
Possess the ability to effectively communicate and convey information and collaborate with teammates.

Nice To Haves

PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
Proven track record of managing complex power generation projects from design through commissioning.
Experience with generator brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Kohler, or Generac Industrial Power preferred.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, remote monitoring, and digital twin technologies preferred.
Background in microgrid or hybrid power systems integration preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage end to end project execution for power generation systems, from concept through commissioning.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for diesel and natural gas generator systems, including paralleling switchgear, load management, and emissions compliance.
Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for generator installations.
Coordinate with cross functional teams including sales, procurement, field service, and external contractors.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk management plans to ensure timely and cost effective delivery.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new installations or upgrades.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including NFPA, NEC, EPA, and utility interconnection standards.
Provide technical support during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of generator systems.
Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, vendors, and clients to ensure high quality project outcomes.
Define project scope and requirements, ensuring alignment with client needs and technical specifications.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget estimations.
Schedule and facilitate design reviews based on milestones set during project.
Ensure design review notes are compiled, vetted for necessity and implemented into scope if required.
Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Assemble and lead a cross functional project team, including mechanical & electrical engineers, designers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
