About The Position

This position is responsible for managing freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment. It involves maintaining merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions. The role also includes providing basic maintenance to equipment, ensuring freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases, inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage, and maintaining records, logs, and forms. Additionally, the position involves organizing the warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns, up-stacking/down-stacking empty pallets, and up-stacking/down-stacking freight.

Requirements

  • Must be able to manage freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment.
  • Must be able to maintain merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).
  • Must be able to ensure freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases; inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage; cutting shrink wrap as needed; and maintaining records, logs, and forms.
  • Must be able to organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns (e.g., pallet storage, trailers); up-stacking/down-stacking empty pallets; and up-stacking/down-stacking freight.
