About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and visionary R&D Senior Manager to lead our Power Electronics Protection and Conversion in the North American. This position will be responsible for establishing and scaling a world-class R&D organization, delivering advanced technologies in solid-state protection and power conversion, and strengthening our presence in the North American innovation ecosystem. The role combines strategic leadership, technical depth, and organizational build-up, with strong visibility across global teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics
  • 15+ years of experience in power electronics or related domains
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and scaling R&D organizations
  • Strong expertise in solid-state protection, power conversion or SST.
  • Experience with product incubation, development and industrialization.
  • Familiar with government-funded programs is a strong advantage
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline
  • Proven ability to lead through complexity and growth
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Passion for innovation and technology leadership

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Power Electronics technology roadmap aligned with global strategy.
  • Lead incubation in Solid-State Circuit Breaker (SSCB), Fault Managed Power Systems (FMPS), and Power Conversion.
  • Ensure effective execution from concept to light industrialization.
  • Establish and scale the US R&D team with testing and validation laboratory.
  • Build a high-performance, innovation-driven engineering culture.
  • Oversee key R&D programs.
  • Ensure delivery of technical milestones, quality, and performance targets.
  • Build relationships with U.S. government agencies (DOE, ARPA‑E, etc.).
  • Lead efforts to secure and manage public funding opportunities.
  • Develop strong partnerships with universities, research institutes, and industrial partners.
  • Foster strong alignment with global R&D teams across US, Europe, and China.
