About The Position

EPG is currently seeking a Power Electronics Engineer for one of our partners that is an established high-voltage battery and power-electronics company, bringing technology proven in demanding, high-reliability applications to a new backup-power product for AI data centers. In this position, you will own the 800V power stage from architecture through production and lead the power-electronics effort on a clean-sheet product.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of power electronics design.
  • High-voltage (600V+) converter design taken from concept to production.
  • Bidirectional converter experience (charger/inverter).
  • SiC/GaN device experience with thermal and EMI design.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship (US Persons only, export-control requirement).

Nice To Haves

  • EV traction inverter experience, especially 800V.
  • Grid-tied or UPS inverter experience for stationary storage.
  • Data center power standards and utility interconnection familiarity.
  • Clean-sheet / new product line experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the 800V power-stage architecture: topology, SiC/GaN device selection, and switching strategy at data center power levels.
  • Design control loops for battery charging, bus-voltage regulation, and grid-interactive / UPS modes.
  • Own the converter-to-battery-to-rack power interface.
  • Drive compliance to relevant power and interconnection standards.
  • Lead the power-electronics work stream as the technical anchor.
