About The Position

We are seeking an experienced EPC Power Electronic Test Engineer for a 6-month contract role in Carson, CA. This position requires the engineer to be onsite from day one and involves testing high voltage/power systems. The role requires a strong understanding of data acquisition, processing, and analysis software, as well as proficiency with standard test equipment. Experience with automotive communication protocols and automated test equipment design is essential. This role offers the possibility of going direct and involves a two-round interview process.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience testing high voltage/power systems.
  • Ability to use data acquisition, processing, and analysis software such as Matlab or LabVIEW.
  • Ability to utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and power meters with no direction.
  • Ability to use instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, hygrometers, pressure gauges, and flow meters.
  • Knowledge of automated test equipment design.
  • Experience testing automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • LabVIEW experience.
  • Experience running system devices.
  • Oscilloscope experience.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • EMC Test experience is a plus.
  • Programming ability in LabVIEW is a plus.

Responsibilities
