We’re seeking Power Delivery Project Engineers who want more than just another role – you’re reading to lead meaningful work, expand your influence, and see the real impact of what you deliver. In this role, you’ll lead electric utility projects across Hawaii, supporting a more resilient and sustainable energy future. You’ll own projects end-to-end, work directly with clients and utilities, and help solve the unique challenges of islanded power systems. This is a highly visible opportunity where you work directly impacts the communities you live in – while building a career with real momentum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software. (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Degree may be in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in power delivery/project execution
  • Prior experience with an engineering consulting firm
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships
  • Experience in power delivery, utility engineering, or related infrastructure
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of utility standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for ownership and results

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of electric utility projects, guiding overhead and underground design from planning through construction
  • Own project performance – scope, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction
  • Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams in a high-performing environment
  • Serve as the primary liaison with utilities, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Drive technical quality through QA/QC and adherence to standards
  • Lead design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and presentations
  • Coordinate across disciplines to deliver efficient, constructible solutions
  • Manage change processes, permitting, and regulatory approvals
  • Support construction through field engagement and issue resolution
  • Continuously improve project delivery through lessons learned and feedback
