About The Position

Blue Acorn iCi is seeking a Power BI Developer (Temp) to build end-to-end Power BI dashboards, develop efficient data models, and translate business requirements into intuitive, actionable reporting. This role requires strong Power BI development, DAX, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to quickly understand multiple businesses and their key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Strong Power BI development skills with experience building end-to-end dashboards from backend data tables.
• Experience with Query Mode, including DirectQuery and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, including star schema, relationships, refresh, and performance.
• Experience publishing and managing reports in Power BI Service, including workspaces, access, and refresh.
• Strong DAX skills, including KPI development, time intelligence, trends, rolling metrics, and business logic.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate data, identify insights, and ensure metric accuracy.
• Ability to optimize DAX and Power BI visuals for performance.
• Ability to quickly understand multiple businesses and their performance indicators.
• Fast learner with strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end Power BI dashboards directly from backend data tables using Query Mode (DirectQuery/Power Query).
• Design efficient data models (star schema) and manage relationships, refresh, and performance.
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including workspaces, access, and refresh.
• Develop DAX measures for KPIs, time intelligence (YoY, trends, rolling metrics), and business logic.
• Validate data, identify insights, and ensure accuracy of metrics.
• Optimize DAX and visuals for performance.
• Quickly understand multiple businesses and their performance indicators.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards and actionable insights.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs.
