About The Position

As a Power BI Developer at Sprout, you will turn SmartERP's rich operational data into clear, compelling intelligence that our customers can act on. You will own the dashboards and reports that sit at the intersection of our platform and the people who rely on it every day. Sprout is a global IT hardware retirement provider for hyperscaler and enterprise clients. We leverage a nationwide footprint (and international partner network) combined with proprietary software to enable efficient end-to-end IT asset disposition with a focus on data-bearing devices from the client to the cloud. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, NC with additional operations near Sacramento, Dallas, and Boston. Sprout provides software and services to clients in the form of our IT Asset Disposition, Certified Destruction, and Responsible Recycling solutions. Requirements

• 3+ years building data and analytics applications/products/reports with SQL.
• 3+ years experience working with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand requirements and design data products
• 3+ years designing data models and building transformation pipelines for data warehouse and/or data lake solutions (preferably Databricks).
• 1+ years Power BI experience (we’d also consider candidates with experience in another visualization tool such as Tableau or Looker)
• Experience using git for version management

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that surface SmartERP data for enterprise customers across IT asset management, ESG compliance, and value recovery workflows
• Partner with customer success, operations, and product teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions
• Connect Power BI to SmartERP data sources, ensuring data integrity, freshness, and performance at scale
• Build self-service reporting capabilities that empower customers to explore their own data without technical support
• Develop standardized report templates aligned with Sprout's visual identity and brand standards
• Collaborate with SmartERP's product and engineering teams to surface new data signals as platform capabilities expand
• Support customer onboarding by delivering tailored reporting environments that demonstrate immediate value
• Design and develop data models to support various departments and use cases
• Extract common logic from our many Power BI semantic models to our target data model
• Develop ELT pipelines in SQL (using our stack of Postgres -> Fivetran -> Databricks)
• Create Power BI semantic models and support data analysts and business users using them
• Create reports and visualizations in Power BI
• Support the over-all health of our BI environment by troubleshooting resolving defects in queries, models and reports
