About The Position

The Power BI Developer designs, develops, administers, and optimizes business intelligence and analytics solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights. The role supports strategic and operational decisions across Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Retention through trusted reporting, scalable data models, and effective visualizations. The position spans the business intelligence lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data integration, data modeling, ETL and ELT development, Power BI administration, dashboard development, executive reporting, and analytics governance. It also supports responsible use of artificial intelligence in analytics workflows, including work with Azure Databricks.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, SQL, Power BI development, or related disciplines.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including data preparation, notebooks, lakehouse environments, machine learning workflows, or AI-enabled analytics.
Experience developing enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and executive-level visualizations.
Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, SQL, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling methodologies.
Experience with Power BI workspaces, gateways, licensing, security, Row-Level Security, deployment, and refresh management.
Experience integrating, transforming, validating, and analyzing data from multiple business systems and sources.
Working knowledge of AI concepts and experience using AI-assisted tools or capabilities in data, analytics, reporting, or business intelligence workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Ability to explain complex technical and analytical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or comparable cloud analytics platforms.
Experience supporting AI or machine learning use cases, including data preparation, model output validation, governance, or integration with business intelligence solutions.
Experience building or supporting enterprise data warehouses, lakehouses, data pipelines, and automated data workflows.
Knowledge of Voice of Customer, Customer Satisfaction, Net Promoter Score, retention, and customer analytics.
Experience with predictive analytics, forecasting, statistical analysis, or advanced business intelligence methodologies.
Relevant Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, Databricks, data analytics, or AI certifications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive reports.
Gather requirements with business leaders and subject matter experts, translating needs into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Create visualizations and executive reporting that communicate performance, trends, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
Publish, distribute, monitor, and maintain reports and dashboards across the organization.
Develop and maintain semantic models, star schemas, data relationships, and reusable reporting structures.
Build and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business logic; improve reporting performance through modeling and query optimization.
Analyze business performance data, validate analytical outputs, and document metric definitions, assumptions, and calculation logic.
Integrate and manage data from business systems and other sources, and use Power Query to cleanse, transform, validate, and enrich data.
Design and maintain ETL and ELT processes, data pipelines, and automated workflows; support data warehouse and modern data architecture initiatives.
Monitor data quality and work with technical and business teams to resolve accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness issues.
Administer Power BI workspaces, gateways, semantic models, licensing, deployment processes, and refresh schedules.
Implement and maintain Row-Level Security, access controls, and governance standards; monitor reporting environments and address refresh, performance, and access issues.
Establish and document standards for consistency, security, scalability, usability, and compliance; support user adoption with documentation, training, change management, and assistance.
Apply AI-assisted analytics capabilities and help identify, evaluate, test, and responsibly implement AI use cases; validate outputs and document use cases, data requirements, limitations, and validation steps.
Use Databricks or comparable cloud analytics platforms for data preparation, advanced analytics, machine learning workflows, or AI-enabled reporting where appropriate.
Contribute to enterprise analytics architecture using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and other modern data technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders on KPIs, reporting strategies, and performance measurement frameworks; present findings and recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
Serve as a business intelligence partner for reporting strategy, data quality, and data-informed decision making.
