About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards to monitor various aspects of asset and liability performance, compliance metrics, risk analytics, and performance attribution. The developer will enable dynamic functionality for detailed drill-downs by asset classes, region, sector, and ratings. A key responsibility includes developing dashboards to track changes in regulatory capital, such as capital charge by asset class and duration. The position requires collaboration with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data quality and timely flows, as well as maintaining documentation for data sources, calculations, and assumptions. The developer will partner with product, finance, actuaries, and risk management teams to understand and meet evolving data needs, aiming to automate reporting processes and reduce reliance on Excel-based workflows. Ensuring consistency and version control of published dashboards is crucial. The role also supports business cases for growth by using data and graphical tools and assists in designing presentations to articulate investment and ALM actions.

Requirements

  • Minimal bachelor’s degree in computer science, quantitative mathematics or related fields with working knowledge on insurance asset and liability management.
  • 3+ years of working experience in data visualization with a focus on Power BI or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in developing data pipelines and standardizing procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Solid understanding on various asset classes (bonds, equities, linear and nonlinear derivatives, structured products), capital requirements, and portfolio level analytics.
  • Passionate to solve technical problems and flexible to adapt to changes in a dynamic working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across investment, risk and other functional partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Insurance company data and reporting process.
  • Knowledge of large-scale data warehouses such as Snowflake would be an Asset.

Responsibilities
