About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards. The contractor will also be responsible for developing efficient data models, creating complex calculations using DAX, and implementing row-level security. Additionally, the role includes optimizing report performance, managing Power BI datasets and workspaces, and publishing/scheduling reports in Power BI Service. The contractor will also develop, modify, and support operational and analytical reports using SSRS, build paginated reports, and maintain the existing SSRS report catalog and subscriptions. Troubleshooting report performance and data retrieval issues, and supporting the migration of legacy SSRS reports to Power BI are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

4–8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Reporting Solutions
Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI development.
Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
Advanced SQL development skills on SQL Server.
Experience with Power BI Service, Gateways, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Knowledge of report performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Experience working with large datasets and complex reporting environments.
Any Degree (Computer Science)

Nice To Haves

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.
Knowledge of SSIS and SSAS.
Experience with Paginated Reports in Power BI.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Exposure to REST APIs and data integration techniques.
SSRS to Power BI migration projects.
Financial, Sales, Operations, or Supply Chain reporting.
Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Enterprise BI governance and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

Create complex calculations, KPIs, and business metrics using DAX.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
Optimize report performance and manage Power BI datasets and workspaces.
Publish, schedule, and maintain reports in Power BI Service.
Develop, modify, and support operational and analytical reports using SSRS.
Build paginated reports and pixel-perfect reporting solutions.
Maintain existing SSRS report catalog and subscriptions.
Troubleshoot report performance and data retrieval issues.
Support migration of legacy SSRS reports to Power BI where applicable.
