About The Position

The Power BI Analyst transforms operational, financial, customer, and network performance data into actionable business intelligence that supports strategic decision-making across the organization. The role partners with leaders across network operations, engineering, construction, customer service, sales, and finance to develop reporting solutions that improve visibility into business performance and network operations. The analyst serves as a trusted advisor in data visualization and reporting, helping stakeholders identify trends, measure key performance indicators, improve operational efficiency, and drive business outcomes through data-informed decision-making. Kansas Fiber Networks (KFN) is a network services provider owned by 27 independent rural telephone companies. Headquartered in Wichita, with a satellite office in Overland Park, KFN serves businesses, schools, banks, hospitals, carriers, hyperscalers, and other data-intensive organizations. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or a related discipline.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Experience translating business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions.
Deep understanding of APIs, including creating and/or integrating them.
Working knowledge of Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
Translate business requirements into reporting solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
Develop KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into business performance.
Create executive-level dashboards and analytical tools to support organizational decision-making.
Ensure reporting solutions are intuitive, accurate, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
Develop and maintain scalable data models, semantic models, and datasets for reporting and analytics.
Create DAX calculations, measures, and business logic to support reporting requirements.
Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance drivers, and provide insights and recommendations.
Support forecasting, benchmarking, and performance measurement initiatives.
Develop dashboards and reports covering network performance, service delivery, customer growth, construction progress, and operational efficiency.
Analyze broadband subscriber, revenue, service utilization, and network utilization trends to support business planning and resource allocation.
Support analytics for fiber deployment projects, network expansion initiatives, and capital investment programs.
Develop and maintain KPIs related to network reliability, service availability, customer support, and project delivery.
Partner with Engineering, Network Operations, Construction, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance to identify reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
Develop and maintain data transformation and integration processes using Power Query, SQL, and related technologies.
Connect and integrate data from internal and external sources, including databases, cloud platforms, spreadsheets, and enterprise applications, using APIs or connectors.
Monitor data quality, validate reporting accuracy, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Evaluate emerging business intelligence technologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend improvements to reporting efficiency, data accessibility, and user experience.
Participate in analytics projects and organizational initiatives that support strategic priorities.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve operational efficiency.
