The Multi-Product Power & Digital department is responsible for FPGA and hardware designs for electronic warfare, radar, and effector products. Job responsibilities of this role include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, hardware and/or logic design, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers. The MPD department is seeking a Power & Analog Design Engineer II to join our team. This position is an onsite role.

Requirements

  • Masters’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Typically requires 12 months or less prior relevant experience
  • Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
  • Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
  • Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, LTSpice, Saber, or other similar tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Analog, and/or Power electronics coursework.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
  • A self-starter, a quick learner, be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills.
  • Should have an appreciation for how successful teams are structured.
  • Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers

Responsibilities

  • Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
  • Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuitry.
  • Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.
  • Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers.
  • Assist in layer stack up definition.
  • Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
  • Drive to meet schedule concerns.
  • Define schedules for circuit level tasking.
  • Function as an individual contributor.
  • Engage in professional growth and development.
