About The Position

Realize the possibilities of unlimited connectivity. We are now looking for a PA Developer to enhance capability for our HW products in Development. Your role will include all development activities such as requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, hardware design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience working directly in the development of radio products (systemization, hardware design, integration, or test).
  • Solid understanding of basic communications and wireless systems theory and technology
  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications, especially in Radio performance characteristics
  • Some knowledge of radio standards (2G, 3G,4G, WCDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi, 5G)
  • Strong knowledge of RF test instruments and verification process for PA design.
  • Load Pull and Source pull simulations and measurements is important
  • Experience in the development and analysis of simulations, knowledge of simulation environments like ADS, AWR and/or MATLAB
  • Python based scripting experience.
  • Wide Band GaN PA knowledge
  • PA supplier knowledge and technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Design and simulation of PA board circuit level designs
  • Deep understanding of component selection and characterization for PA designs.
  • Experience with analysis and optimization of PA and RF circuits in general.
  • Good experience of lab testing using RF test equipment’s.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and solving product related issues.
  • Experience of working with Link budgets
  • Perform open and closed loop testing during the project development life cycle.
  • Some understanding of TX low power and Transmit observation receiver would be required.
  • Working with a wider design community to understand system architecture, link-budgets for transmit chain and defining amplifier solutions that would fulfil all requirements (i.e., performance, form-factor, cost, manufacturability etc.) for a timely & successful product delivery
  • Designing & developing high-power amplifiers modules (10W to 1000W) in the 400 MHz to 4000 MHz frequency range and will support their higher-level integration into radio with digital pre-distortion techniques to meet regulatory & internal requirements
  • Modeling and characterizing linear/non-linear circuit elements used in high-power RF power amplifier modules
  • Using advanced CAD/Simulation tools for modelling, analysis and to generate layout & schematics for power amplifier module
  • Utilizing your analytical skills to troubleshoot & solve (design/manufacturability) issues at both, power amplifier module-level, and upon its integration at the radio system-level.
