About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Powder Fill Set Up Associate is responsible for setting up products in the production line, as well as doing some preventative maintenance. Also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Requirements

Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
3-to-5-year minimum experience in a production mechanical trade with encapsulation machine experience
Ability to conduct machine set-up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work order to perform required maintenance and service
Preventable Maintenance experience required
Understanding of Lock-out/Tag-out
Able to read and write in English
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours
Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform set-ups / equipment changeovers for manufacturing and process equipment on their assigned resource including (but not limited to): hoppers, check weighers, metal detectors, cappers, sealers, printers and labelers, conveyors and rotary tables and packaging machines.
General troubleshooting on powder line machines.
Perform Preventative Maintenance on all assigned production equipment following the PM checklist
Participate in the cleaning process of the powder line machines.
Participate in production when necessary.
