About The Position

The Paint Line role is responsible for meeting internal and external customer demand by preparing parts, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies for painting. This includes cleaning and prepping components, entering data into the production system, operating paint equipment to required finish standards, and performing routine preventive maintenance and waste disposal. The overall objective is timely order fulfillment while maintaining Eaton’s quality, safety, and operational standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze problems and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools to assemble components and verify product quality in a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
  • Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with painting in a fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies for painting by cleaning, handling, and staging materials to meet production and customer demand.
  • Load and unload the paint line, including hand‑lifting light loads and operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) to transport heavier materials.
  • Operate paint line equipment and adjust powder flow to achieve required paint finishes and specifications.
  • Inspect painted parts after the cool‑down oven to verify film thickness, appearance, and compliance with Eaton quality standards.
  • Accurately enter production data and follow established work instructions to complete assignments and special projects on schedule.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with waste disposal to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards and comply with all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues, support continuous improvement, and contribute to Lean and quality initiatives.
