Powder Coat Painter (8 am - 6:30 pm)
About The Position
Valley Craft, a manufacturer of material handling and storage equipment since 1953 and part of the Ballymore Safety Products family, is seeking a Powder Coat Painter. The company offers steady, year-round work, a clean and organized production floor, and a commitment to safety. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision work and wish to build a long-term career with an established American manufacturer. The Powder Coat Painter will be responsible for prepping, coating, and finishing metal parts to meet quality and appearance standards, supporting daily production and custom orders by washing, prepping, and powder coating parts using electrostatic equipment. The position is suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality finishes, and wants to grow their skills in a production environment.
Requirements
- 0–1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial painting preferred
- Basic knowledge of metalworking equipment and processes a plus
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Willingness to learn and develop finishing skills
- Reliable team player with a strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and sit for extended periods
- Comfortable working in hot and cold manufacturing environments
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities
- Prep and coat metal parts using electrostatic powder coating equipment
- Follow spray patterns and work instructions to ensure consistent finishes
- Assist with color changes and setup as needed
- Monitor finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Wash and degrease parts using pressure sprayers
- Load and unload parts for painting
- Prepare surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Operate, clean, and maintain painting and wash equipment
- Read and follow demonstrated and written work instructions
- Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Support production needs and perform additional duties as assigned
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed
