About The Position

The Powder Coat Painter is responsible for all setup of painting equipment and painting processes (powder, spray, or liquid) for the organization. This role involves hand spraying parts or products, mixing paint or powder to specifications, and cleaning/prepping parts prior to painting. The painter will also be responsible for masking parts and verifying that finished work meets quality standards. Protective equipment is mandatory for this role, and the individual will be working in a powder paint booth for extended periods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Safety glasses
• Steel-toed shoes
• Chemical suits, when necessary
• Ear plugs, vests and coveralls
• Respirator or face-shield when necessary
• Organization Skills
• Takes care of equipment
• Good communication; reading, writing & verbal.
• Initiative & safety Conscious
• Basic math skills
• Time management

Nice To Haves

• Three (3) years of manufacturing experience
• Two (2) years with same/similar equipment
• Previous CNC experience is a plus
• Previous welding experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up painting equipment and processes (powder, spray, or liquid).
• Hand spray parts or products using liquid or powder coat painting processes.
• Mix liquid paint or powder to specifications.
• Clean and prep parts prior to painting.
• Plug and mask parts to be painted.
• Wear protective equipment while working.
• Work in powder paint booth for extended periods of time.
• Verify that finished work is in conformance.
