About The Position

This position involves applying powder coat paint to manufactured parts using manual spray guns and an automated coating system, ensuring high-quality finishes and maintaining required paint thickness. The role is with Daifuku, a leading independent provider of intelligent material handling systems, offering career development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is full-time, on the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with Saturdays required as needed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Knowledge of powder paint characteristics and application
Knowledge of the operation and repair of painting equipment
Knowledge of material preparation
Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Team orientation
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Responsibilities

Coating manufactured parts consistent with powder coat paint to customer and internal quality requirements
Inspecting material from fabrication shop
Operating all coating equipment including manual spray guns, hopper's, and booth collection systems
Using the paint line efficiently with minimal stoppages and gaps
Complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
Ensuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
