We are currently seeking a dependable, experienced, and detail-oriented Powder Coat Paint Lead to join our manufacturing team. This position provides day-to-day leadership and support within the Powder Coat Paint Department, helping ensure employees, equipment, and production processes operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes, has strong attention to detail, and leads by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of powder coating or industrial painting experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
  • Experience working with metal components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Ability to identify finish-quality issues and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employees within the Powder Coat Paint Department.
  • Provide direction and assign daily work to ensure production goals are met.
  • Train employees on powder coating processes, equipment, quality standards, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor production flow and communicate priorities, issues, and delays to leadership.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure proper coverage, color, texture, adhesion, and overall quality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot powder coating and production issues.
  • Assist with setup and operation of powder coating equipment, including paint guns, booths, ovens, and related equipment.
  • Ensure proper preparation, masking, hanging, coating, and curing of metal components.
  • Monitor paint and material usage and help minimize waste.
  • Ensure work areas, equipment, and tools are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors and other departments to support on-time production.
  • Assist with cross-training employees and developing team members' skills.
  • Perform hands-on production work as needed to support the department.
