Powder Characterization Scientist
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. The Powder Characterization Scientist will be responsible for the analysis of powder samples for key physical properties such as particle size distribution, bulk density, true density, powder flow, and particle shape. Additionally, the role involves the analysis of liquid samples for key physical properties like viscosity and surface tension, utilizing techniques such as optical microscopy, laser diffraction particle size analysis, electron microscopy, shear cell testing, and compaction simulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Proficient in learning new techniques, developing and carrying out experimental plans, and performing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in data handling and scientific/engineering computations
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- At least one year experience in particle and powder characterization
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
