About The Position

This is a skilled position in the Powder Coat Department. The role involves applying powder coatings to products, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality. Training will initially take place on the first shift for at least two weeks before transitioning to the second shift permanently. The starting pay range is $17.50 - $20.00 per hour, plus a $1.00/hour shift premium for the second shift.

Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy machinery and maneuver jib cranes with product.
Good communication skills.
Able to follow instructions.
Quick learner.

Nice To Haves

Powder coat or wet spray applicator experience.

Responsibilities

Lift up to 50 lbs. boxes of powder for filling hoppers and storage.
Maintain all powder equipment and tools after training.
Troubleshoot problems with powder guns.
Apply a thorough, even coat of powder on each product.
Maintain a well-organized work area.
Clean up excess powder in and around the booth at the end of the shift.
Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
Follow company procedures and directives.
Follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Wear and maintain all required PPE in good condition.
Perform other jobs as needed when shorthanded.
