About The Position

The Finance and Accounting Intern role is an entry level position in the Poultry Finance & Accounting organization that will be participating in various activities that can include monthly close, reporting, projections, annual budgets (AOP), ad hoc requests along with special projects as needed and other development opportunities. All of the above activities are performed with an ownership mindset in a team environment demonstrating close collaboration within the Finance & Accounting teams and with cross-functional partners within the Small Bird Business Unit.

Requirements

  • Finance or Accounting major required
  • Incoming junior, senior or MBA at least one year of school remaining
  • Previous work experience preferred
  • Experience related to the internship function is strongly preferred (e.g., exposure to industry‑standard tools, systems, or workflows)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present information clearly
  • Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with cross‑functional partners
  • Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness to feedback, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel
  • Familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new technologies or discipline‑relevant systems quickly
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Must live within 60 miles of the facility
  • Must demonstrate the maturity, professionalism, and foundational skills needed to contribute meaningfully in a corporate environment
  • Must include a resume to be considered
