About The Position

This position provides general labor for vaccination, blood pulls, live hauls, sorting, and movement of Cobb products serviced by the regional Grandparent operation. Duties also include loading products for transport and cleaning poultry houses, vehicles, modules, and equipment. Other duties may be assigned or changed at any time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, generally 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or until the work is complete. The position averages 42 hours per week and includes working holidays. The schedule may change based on production needs and season. Applicants must have no disciplinary actions within the last six months; the posting's point-level condition is incomplete. The jobsite is biosecure and requires showering and changing clothing and footwear before entering. The company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. Employees may not wear jewelry at the jobsite, except medical ID jewelry and piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Employees must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species and to sign and follow company biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines. The role involves standing for most of the shift on concrete floors, along with walking, sitting, handling objects and tools, reaching, balancing, stooping, and communicating. Employees must regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds and may sometimes need to lift or move up to 100 pounds. Work takes place on wet and slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments. Required protective equipment includes safety glasses, safety goggles, a face shield, chemical gloves, a waterproof apron, and rubber boots; ear plugs and NIOSH-approved N95 particulate respirators are used as needed. Commonly used chemicals include formaldehyde, disinfectants, and foamers. Employees are expected to follow applicable safety procedures and identify, address, and mitigate safety risks. Responsibilities

Perform live hauls, vaccination, blood pulls, movement, sorting, and cleanout of Cobb products and facilities.
Load Cobb products into modules and onto trucks for transport to designated farms, other Cobb complexes, or a processing plant.
Clean and disinfect poultry houses, vehicles, modules, and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties, responsibilities, or activities as assigned.
