Operate the pouching machine in the safest, most effective and efficient manner while adhering to established quality standards. This role involves facilitating on-the-job training for team members, participating in safety programs, and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The operator will interpret job jackets, manufacturing specifications, and print spec sheets, and manage cleaning and housekeeping duties. Key responsibilities include performing machine set-ups/changeovers, understanding quality standards, conducting QA tests, and managing raw material inventory through a bar code system. The role also requires producing new tickets for finished goods, returning unused materials, and accurately completing all required paperwork, including Shop Floor Reports and Quality Assurance tests. The operator must be able to successfully set up the machine to customer specifications, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and perform minor machine maintenance. Safely operating roll handling equipment and producing pouches within customer specifications with necessary quality testing are also essential. Attendance and participation in all scheduled meetings and compliance with company policies are required.
