Pouch Machine Operator - Weekend Day Shift (Fri-Sun)

Calyx Containers•West Valley City, UT
•$26 - $29•Onsite

About The Position

Calyx Containers is hiring a Production Operator II, Pouching, to run its pouch-making machine on a weekend day shift at its Salt Lake City manufacturing facility. The operator turns printed, laminated film into finished pouches, independently sets up and changes over the machine, maintains quality through each run, troubleshoots machine issues, and prepares products for shipment. The role is certified Operator II from day one and includes a weekend shift differential in the posted hourly pay range. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts every week, Friday through Sunday, with Monday through Thursday off. The operator works with a small weekend crew and is expected to manage the machine independently, identify problems, and escalate issues when needed. Calyx's production progression is based on equipment certifications: certification on a second machine and independent troubleshooting on both can qualify an operator for Operator III, with the title and pay change taking effect upon certification. Operators certified on specialty platforms, including the pouch machine, receive a platform premium on top of their base rate.
