About The Position

Job Description Starting Wage 25.63 Job Responsibilities Operate pouch machines safely and efficiently while achieving exceptional quality. Visually check the work area and all the machines you will be running during the shift. Check pouches to make sure that all heat seals are good. (Minimum every 30 minutes) Make sure that pouch capacity is correct. Maintain the proper size football on bottom of pouch. Rotate side seal and bottom seal Teflon as needed. Document pouch losses, roll changes, and downtime on the Pouch Production Report. Include the quantity of pouches, reason for losses, area of machine, operator adjustment, and/or maintenance adjustments. Complete all paperwork thoroughly throughout and at the end of shift. Assist Relief during roll changes on your machines. Keep work area and table clean and free of debris. Inform maintenance or the shift supervisor as soon as possible of recurring problems or if you notice a problem developing. Discuss any problems that may be occurring with the operator on the previous shift. Remove old flavor labels from all empty boxes. Perform sanitation responsibilities as needed and/or required. Perform other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor. Productivity Responsibility: Actively participate in team goal setting/or meetings to ensure that we are the low-cost, high-quality producer. Strive to improve the efficiency of pouch making equipment by suggesting and striving to implement process improvements. Quality Responsibility: Ensure the quality of our products and our workplace by following all procedures and guidelines. Follow all established GMP's, HACCP guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures. Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and training of new associates. Safety Responsibility: Actively participate in team safety efforts to achieve/exceed plant goals. Involvement & supportive of Safety teams & processes. Required to perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries to self and/or others. Qualifications: Must be willing and able to demonstrate leadership skills and behavior which will contribute to the overall team effectiveness. Understanding of the requirements and importance of documentation. Able to work well within a team environment as well as work effectively with co-workers and management.
