The Potable Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely loading and delivering fresh potable water to location as dispatched. In addition, the Water Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle follows the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and provincial regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner. The Operator is responsible for following all regulations regarding this position. The Operator is responsible for taking part in daily pre-trips, and assessments prior to starting every job. The Operator must follow all Standard Work Procedures (SWP) and will always discuss with their supervisor if they are unable to follow procedure. The Operator is responsible for transporting water to and from different locations. The Operator is responsible for loading, transporting, and offloading of fluids. The Operator is responsible for minor maintenance of the unit they are operating. The Operator is responsible for the daily completion and accuracy of federally required paperwork, as per legislation and company policy. Required documents include, but are not limited to, Daily Driver Logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR’s), Residue Last Contained Forms, Waste Manifests, Permits, Job Hazard Safety Assessments, Daily Field Tickets and Daily Time Sheets.
