About The Position

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital is hiring New Grad Registered Nurses (RN) for Postpartum. The Postpartum Training Program is 16 weeks of didactics, hands-on learning experience and clinical preceptorship. This program is for New Grad Registered Nurses who are newly licensed or have less than one year of experience. Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s. Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment, and care on assigned units. Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, psychosocial, cultural, and religious orientation and completes documentation per unit standards, including pain assessment and reassessment. Demonstrates accountability for ongoing awareness for the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the patient’s condition. Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospitals’ Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • California RN license
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring. Successful completion of course every two years.
  • AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring class within New to Specialty training program.
  • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring class within 9 months of hire into a New to Specialty training program
  • NRP Successful completion of course of the AAP and AHA.
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
