About The Position

This position involves carrying out independent research that contributes to the aims of the PI’s NIH grant. Responsibilities include experimental design, conducting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and documenting findings. The fellow will also mentor undergraduate and graduate student researchers, contribute to manuscript and proposal writing, manage lab equipment and supplies, and ensure laboratory safety compliance. Participation in lab meetings, seminars, and professional training, as well as presenting research results at meetings, are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, and three years of experience.
  • Expertise in common cell and molecular biology experimental methodology.
  • Experience working with undergraduate or graduate students.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in Microbiology and/or Immunology.
  • Candidates are desired who are enthusiastic about mentoring students with a broad range of perspectives and experiences.
