About The Position
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. The final candidate will run and maintain two Novocontrol dielectric spectrometers. They will train new users and supervise both graduate and undergraduate students in properly loading their sample, running the experiments, and interpreting the data. A particular research emphasis will be zwitterions mixed with polymers.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Responsibilities
- Run and maintain two Novocontrol dielectric spectrometers.
- Train new users on the spectrometers.
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate students in sample loading, experiment running, and data interpretation.
