About The Position

Applications are invited for ICDS Postdoctoral Scholar positions in the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) at Penn State. Start dates are flexible and may be as early as possible. ICDS seeks outstanding early‑career researchers with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the following computational and data‑driven discovery areas: Earth Science, Computational Biology, Health Informatics, Material Science. ICDS Fellows will be part of a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment, with opportunities to work on cutting‑edge problems alongside faculty and researchers from multiple colleges and departments across the University. ICDS serves as a hub for computational and data‑enabled research at scale, fostering collaboration across disciplines such as engineering, science, information sciences, statistics, social sciences, and health. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.

Requirements

A Ph.D. in a field related to Earth Science, Computational Biology, Health Informatics, or Material Science is required by the start of the appointment.
Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
