About The Position

The Exercise Physiology program is seeking a 1-year post-doctoral student to support research and undergraduate teaching within the program.

Requirements

  • Doctorate of Exercise Physiology required.
  • Experience working with athletes, coaches and administrators within an athletics department.
  • Experience teaching and assessing athlete health and performance.
  • Must pass a security check.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 1 undergraduate course per semester.
  • Assist graduate and undergraduate students in the development of research projects, data management and data dissemination through research abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Support current athlete testing relationship with KSU Athletics. This testing includes health, fitness and injury prevention assessments.
  • Participate in outreach to external entities for the various testing services available within our lab spaces.
  • Develop research ideas of their own and seek funding for these projects related to athlete monitoring, athlete health, exercise performance and recovery.
  • Aid in the development of the research arm of the Kohler Recovery Center and Research Collaborative. Specifically, this will include developing the logistics associated with tracking athletes’ use of the recovery space, as well as the tracking of various biometric data that will be obtained through the use of wearable technology.
