About The Position
The Postdoctoral Scholar will investigate molecular structure and mechanisms giving rise to macroscopic properties of electrolytes in the bulk, characterize electrolytes through spectroscopic methods (IR ultrafast spectroscopy) and electrochemical (EIS and Cyclic voltammetry) to name a few and collaborate with theoreticians to obtain molecular insights into the experiments.
Requirements
- PhD in chemistry or related field
- Must be able to plan and execute experiments, work alone or with other members of the group, and possess strong scientific writing skills.
- Provide CV and names and contact details for at least three references.
- Attach a copy of your transcript(s) (if available); however, original transcripts are required prior to hire.
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform research in the lab ranging from material preparation, characterization, and modeling, develop projects and propose new ideas.
- Write manuscripts and support proposal writing and reports on various projects
- Mentor students and participate in collaborations
