Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate - Chemist
About The Position

Dr. Yong (Tiger) Zhang’s laboratory of the Department of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences at USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to conduct research on protein post-translational modifications, antibody engineering, and preclinical design of chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic agents to treat cancer, immune disorders, and infectious diseases. Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred. The individual should be highly self-motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
- Research experience in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry is required.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field.
Nice To Haves
- Strong background in chemistry or chemical biology is preferred.
- Knowledge of cell culturing and protein expression and purification is a plus.
- Synthetic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences experience preferred.
